Mike Ketchum,
owner of the Blue Ridge Recording Studio in Luray, Va., passed away May 30. Ketchum was also an A&R rep for Mastershield Recordings. A guitarist himself, Mike performed with the group, Virginia Run.

Alan Mastin, who played bass with Big Country Bluegrass, passed away May 2. Mastin appears on the group’s current CD, The Boys in Hats and Ties, on Rebel Records.

Fulton Isenor, 72, passed away at his home in Nova Scotia on March 30. Fulton was a founding director of the Downeast Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Society and the East Hants Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Association.
