Official Showcases & "After Hours"

One of the most important aspects of the World of Bluegrass events are naturally the performances!

Official Showcases

There are 19 acts selected to appear as "official showcase acts" during the Business Conference.  Acts selected for these official IBMA Showcases have to apply for these opportunities and are selected by the IBMA Showcase Committee.

Click Here for details on how to apply for an official showcase at the 2010 IBMA Business Conference.  Deadline to apply is January 15.

After Hours

The "After Hours" shows and hospitality functions also take place throughout the week and are hosted by various groups, organizations and companies.  They're valuable as an informal means of presenting talent and focusing on different products and services for attendees.

The "Hosts" of these after hours events select, coordinate and book the talent they want to appear directly.  IBMA does not coordinate talent for after hours functions and does not comp any tickets for participants of the after hours functions.  These presentations are part of the overall event, are ticketed and do require conference registration to attend.

Want to PLAY in an After Hours Room?

If you are an artist looking to book your act in after hours rooms with other hosts
- it is up to you to contact hosts and form those relationships.   Below is a list of the After Hours hosts who presented in 2009.

Hosts will not begin securing space for the 2010 events until late spring/early summer 2010.  They may begin securing talent before securing their room if there are acts whom they have relationships with.  Again, it is up to the artists to reach out to hosts and make those connections.

Want to HOST your own After Hours Room?

Artists, companies or orgainzations wanting to host thier own after hours room need to complete a application for room assignment and return it to IBMA. The 2010 Guidelines and Application will be revised and availble in spring 2010.  Contact jill@ibma.org if you have additional questions or needs.
