The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) recognized the recipients of their Momentum Awards today at a luncheon during the World of Bluegrass Business Conference at the Raleigh Convention Center in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.  The Momentum Awards focus on artists and industry professionals who are in the early stages of their bluegrass music careers, both on the music and business side  Additionally, the Mentor Award recognizes an established member of the bluegrass music community who significantly impacts the lives and careers of newcomers by selflessly giving of their time, talent and expertise.

Performance awards go to one band, one vocalist and three instrumentalists, while three industry awards go to a Mentor, Industry Achiever and a Festival/Venue/Event.
