Showcase Sponsorships

Showcase performances at the IBMA's annual World of Bluegrass events form the premier platform for introducing talent and new music to the bluegrass community. The IBMA offers a variety of opportunities for sponsoring showcases throughout the week, including Bluegrass Ramble Co-Sponsorships, Afterhours Showcase Sponsorships in the Marriott, and Afternoon Showcase Sponsorships in the Raleigh Convention Center during the IBMA Business Conference.

All sponsored showcases allow the sponsor to present acts of its choosing, but the IBMA is happy to assist where needed by filling in with official IBMA Showcase bands and/or connecting sponsors with artists through our business conference attendee list or other means.  

In 2016 there were over 7000 cumulative attendees at the Bluegrass Ramble and IBMA Business Conference.

Bluegrass Ramble Co-Sponsorships

Downtown Raleigh & Raleigh Convention Center

The Bluegrass Ramble is IBMA’s innovative series of showcases in clubs and restaurants throughout downtown Raleigh.  The Ramble is comprised of five downtown Raleigh venues plus two stages in the Raleigh Convention Center.  Co-sponsors present 3-4 acts, from 10pm – 1am.  Rates range from $900-$1200 per venue/per night, depending on the venue.  The City of Raleigh provides free bus transportation during full Ramble hours, running continuously from venue to venue.

Afterhours Showcase Sponsorships 

Marriott City Center

11 p.m. – 2 a.m.

Afterhours showcases are hosted on the lobby-level of the Marriott City Center in Raleigh, NC. Most rooms are suitable for acoustic performance (exception: University), but a light rig may be desirable.  Staging, lights, sound, and requisite power (beyond standard 110V) provided by the sponsor (see below for power drop rates).  Sponsors present 3-6 acts, from 11pm – 2am.

Afternoon showcases are hosted on three stages in the Raleigh Convention Center.  These showcases are open only to business conference attendees.  For Wednesday afternoon showcases, sponsors present 3-6 acts from 2pm-5pm.  Thursday afternoon showcases are programmed with Official IBMA showcase bands and are offered for sponsorship as branding opportunities
